Design Trend: Gaussian Blur

It’s the website design trend that you see everywhere but might not have a name for: gaussian blur. It’s present in several other named trends that have been popular this year and for some time, including the frosted glass effect, creating image depth, bokeh backgrounds, and even for various other background techniques. The Fourteenth Fourth

It’s CSS-Tricks birthday! Somehow that keeps coming around every year. It’s that time where I reflect upon that past year. It’s like the annual vibe check. Website Builder + CMS – React, Redux, TailwindCSS

I’ve been using Versoly for a couple years now and I love it.I made the switch from WordPress as an SEO guy because the ease of the drag and drop builder was nice but the real beauty of Versoly as a CMS is that you can edit the code directly for any part of your site and easily create custom HTML/CSS/JS from the same window without having to jump through hoops, hop through multiple tabs, or try to figure out how to edit the code for WordPress themes.Having the convenience of a CMS with the full control of the code is a dream come true for me. Plus, to top it all off, the sites get damn near perfect scores on Google PageSpeed even after you add in all your stuff.I made my own site with Versoly (paulcarl.com) as well as several client sites. I’ve made a few (only a few, don’t you dare comment on this, /u/volkandkaya 😝) mistakes that we’re my own fault and found a couple bugs years ago. Volkan has always had my back with lightning fast support. There are several messages I posted in the Versoly discord about having XYZ problem and then, within minutes of posting, he’ll have either fixed it for me or told me exactly where I went wrong so I could correct it myself.Give Versoly a try, especially if you’re an SEO nerd like me. I can’t wait to do my next site with Tailwind. Oh, and AMA about my experience with Versoly if you want.
