Being a freelance web designer means more than just focusing on graphics and code. It also requires communicating with both current and prospective clients. The thing is, we can take any number of courses to help us learn a new app or programming language. But client relations? Those skills aren’t quite as easy to pick…Details

The average life of a website is three years. And design elements – such as color and typography – often get updated more frequently than that. That’s why it is so important to keep up with web design trends. Doing this allows you to make small tweaks to your design today so that it won’t…Details
The ability to organize content is one of the most important functions of a content management system (CMS). It offers us a way to clearly define what belongs where. This impacts everyone from content creators accessing the back end to users navigating the public-facing website. And of course, search engines are also a big factor.…Details
So I’ve been wanting to build a quite simple e-commerce website using react and I’ve run into this bug where whenever I would click the add to cart button it would give an error saying that the basket is undefined(I’ve tried to figure out why it would become undefined but just cant). I’ve looked everywhere for answers but can’t find any. Any help would be much appreciated.
On the production build it would only appear as a blank screen
Edit – Solved, thanks to u/floppycrackersDetails
I started coding in 2011 but I was awful at design. I got better each year by understanding the following ideas …
Colors are important
I know that this may seem obvious to some of you, but I did not know where to look for colors as a developer and I struggled with bad color choices which made my designs suck.
Here are a couple of websites where you can select great colors for your website or project:
Fonts make reading beautiful
So when I first started I use to use basic fonts like sans and so on. But I learned that there are other options like Google Fonts which is simple to integrate to your project has a lot of options to choose from.
I use to choose small fonts or the same size for everything, but that’s wrong. You should choose different sizes. And you can define the size by it’s importance. So use different sizes.
Icons are aesthetic
Icons are not necessary but they do make the design more beautiful and professional. I like to use Font Awesome because it’s easy to use and have the full package, and I mean there is icons for everything you can think of in terms of web design.
What else do you use to make your designs professional and beautiful?

Hope you find this useful,Farris
** Note that this is not meant for everybody. I know that some of you know this. I was just hoping that I could make life a bit easier to developers who are just starting out.
hey guys, i made a new css framework called popular.css
before i get into the details, make sure you SMASH that like button on the github repo, subscribe, follow me on all 17 of these social media platforms, hit the notification bell, and the fork button a few times while at it for good measure.
so now onto the big stuff… i took all the css from the most popular css frameworks and pasted it together in a random order. then i did a global search and replace for the letter e, and changed it out for “popular” so you know how popular this is all the time. websites are super optimized with this. when you link the file from the CDN, it loads so fast, it’s almost like the file isn’t even there at all.
once again, thanks guys, remember to like, subscribe, check out my patreon, my gofundme, my kickstarter, and buy my book, titled “how to offer absolutely nothing of value and still build a sizable social media following”
Feel free to criticize or review my projects and/or give me some advice. It would really help me grow and improve.
